International Operational Genetic Counselor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.

📋 Description

• Conduct quality assurance for PGT laboratory and genetic counseling protocols.

• Utilize knowledge of clinical, molecular, and population genetics to validate laboratory report data.

• Assist laboratory scientists in preparing reports for complex or atypical results.

• Participate in departmental and product enhancement initiatives.

• Offer clinical and technical assistance to staff, clients, and external genetic counselors across laboratories.

• Oversee domestic and international PGT-M and PGT-SR cases from enrollment to test completion.

• Conduct genetic counseling consultations and produce enrollment summary documents or consultation reports.

• Review PGT-M sub-cycle orders against clinical case acceptance criteria.

• Assist clinics, patients, and the organization with PGT processes.

• Contribute to short-term genetic counseling projects and engage in meetings and training sessions.

• Complete continuing education and submit necessary CEUs.

• Support post-launch data collection and analysis for PGT products.

• Aid reproductive genetic counseling and Fertility Patient Programs with operational and quality initiatives.

• Manage complex PGT case reports, sub-cycle reviews, and laboratory investigations.

⛳️ Requirements

• MS degree in Human Genetics or a related field from an American Board of Genetic Counseling accredited institution, or its international equivalent.

• Board certified by the American Board of Genetic Counseling.

• Possesses or is eligible to obtain a genetic counseling license in the relevant states.

• Minimum of three years of relevant genetic counseling experience, including at least one year in a laboratory environment.

• Proven ability to manage complicated scenarios accurately and efficiently.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the capacity to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders.

• Capability to sit for extended periods while using computer equipment in standard office conditions.

• Occasional domestic or international travel may be required (<10%).

• Successful completion of a background check, which may include verification of previous employment, criminal history, educational records, and driving records.
