Internal Audit Intern

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Support in the planning and tactical execution of financial, operational, compliance, and integrated IT audit projects.

• Prepare audit documentation, which includes scope documents, process flow charts, narratives, risk assessment matrices, audit test workpapers, audit conclusions, and audit reports.

• Identify significant risks and corresponding risk-mitigating internal controls.

• Conduct substantive testing procedures adopting an agile audit mindset and approach.

• Generate well-organized, detailed, complete, and pertinent audit evidence and documentation that substantiates audit conclusions.

• Utilize data analytics techniques to aid in audit testing.

• Complete assigned audit tasks within specified timeframes and meet project cycle milestones in line with resource plans.

• Undertake additional duties, tasks, and special projects as assigned.

• Operate under the guidance of Internal Audit Team Members and the IA Senior Manager.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree with a major or focus in accounting and/or finance.

• Interest in obtaining CPA, CIA, or CISA certifications.

• Tech-savvy with experience in utilizing MS Office 365 applications or equivalent software.

• Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

• Demonstrates professionalism, intellectual curiosity, and a desire to learn.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Capable of thriving in a fast-paced corporate business environment.

• Self-motivated and able to work independently.

• Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
