Intern – Process Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Malaysia.

📋 Description

• Oversee and manage plating processes to achieve quality and yield goals.

• Execute process enhancements and optimization projects.

• Diagnose process discrepancies and apply corrective measures, including thickness regulation and anodic protection.

• Address variations between production lines and implement corrective solutions.

• Monitor trends in plating DI water, LPC, and contamination issues.

• Organize plating chemicals and oversee inventory management.

• Supervise plating pretreatment, strip line operations, filter replacements, and descaling activities.

• Ensure adherence to contamination control protocols.

• Engage in FMEA activities and conduct risk assessments.

• Track and enhance plating OEE performance.

• Apply process optimizations to minimize speed losses and boost efficiency.

• Monitor and evaluate OEE metrics to uncover improvement opportunities.

• Assist in revising process parameters to improve OEE.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of a degree in Chemical Engineering or a related engineering field.

• Ability to operate in a cleanroom setting.

• Proficient in using computers for email and Microsoft Office software.

• Capable of communicating effectively in English.

• Understanding of electroplating concepts and chemistry.

• Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing processes.

• Experience with process control systems and data analytical methods.

• Knowledge of cleanroom procedures and safety guidelines.

• Understanding of 6 Sigma, DOE, FMEA, and 8D problem-solving methodologies.

• Strong project management and communication abilities.

• Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
