This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Review, revise, and enhance communication materials to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency across both print and digital platforms.
• Create one-pagers, social media graphics, slide templates, and toolkits that support the advocacy and outreach initiatives of Voices for Healthy Kids.
• Verify that all materials adhere to the brand guidelines, visual identity, tone, and messaging of Voices for Healthy Kids.
• Assist with layout and design tasks utilizing established templates and brand standards.
• Conduct fact-checking on language, data points, and citations to ensure accuracy and research integrity.
• Collaborate with the communications and marketing team to refine content and ensure timely project updates.
• Acquire practical job skills within a non-profit setting.
• Contribute to national advocacy efforts aimed at enhancing child and family health.
• College seniors and graduate students currently pursuing a degree in public policy, communications, public relations, public health, journalism, or related disciplines.
• Preferably, prior experience in public policy or a strong interest in non-profit and health care communications.
• Excellent communication, writing, editing, and proofreading abilities.
• Outstanding attention to detail.
• Capability to independently oversee projects from inception to completion, encompassing planning, execution, and follow-up.
• Enthusiasm for distilling complex information into clear, accessible content for diverse audiences.
• Proficiency in Canva and other tools essential for crafting clear and engaging communication materials.
• Familiarity with Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• A dependable Wi-Fi connection is required.
• Minimum availability of 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday, between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
• Must possess legal authorization to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship, now or in the future.
• Remote work must be conducted within the United States, not in any foreign country.
