Intermediate/Senior WebApp Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada, +7 more countries.

📋 Description

• Analyze existing code to plan and define features, selecting suitable approaches that align with the architecture.

• Guide AI coding agents by providing clear context and well-defined tasks.

• Examine all code modifications for potential bugs, security vulnerabilities, and design flaws.

• Make architectural choices regarding data models, API boundaries, code reuse, and overall structure.

• Transform product design prototypes into code that is ready for production.

• Develop tests, validate functionality, and confirm outcomes in the operational application.

• Enhance project documentation, AI capabilities, and review processes.

• Take ownership of feature releases, oversee production, and resolve issues as they arise.

• Collaborate with product, design, and support teams, clearly articulating trade-offs involved.

• Strategically plan and deliver full-stack features within the Vue.js, Node.js, TypeScript, and MySQL ecosystem.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years experience developing production web applications across the entire stack.

• Proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js.

• Familiarity with Vue.js or a comparable framework such as React or Angular.

• Daily hands-on experience with Claude Code or a similar agentic coding tool on an actual codebase.

• Strong skills in code review.

• Good architectural intuition.

• A systematic approach to validating outputs with evidence, such as tests, logs, or a functioning screen.

• Proficient in written English.

• Ability to work autonomously in a small remote team during Eastern Time hours.

• Experience with MySQL, Docker, CI/CD, and either AWS or GCP.

• Experience in developing product features utilizing LLM APIs, including the Claude API, tool usage, or agents.

• Knowledge of data privacy and security in SaaS, particularly in relation to credit, identity, or financial data.

• Background in proptech, fintech, or credit reporting.

• Experience in mentoring other engineers to enhance their utilization of AI tools.
