Intermediate/Senior Programmer Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Design, improve, and maintain software systems that support various business divisions and clients.

• Engage directly with users to identify and refine their needs.

• Provide solutions both independently and collaboratively, adhering to best practices.

• Create new systems and features while also maintaining existing ones throughout their lifecycle.

• Collaborate closely with IT Managers, colleagues in IT, and operational staff.

• Respond promptly and professionally to user inquiries.

• Cultivate relationships with internal IT teams and business stakeholders.

• Mentor junior team members on advanced techniques and software design principles.

• Efficiently execute assigned tasks within deadlines.

• Adhere to best practices for coding, testing, documentation, and deployment.

• Communicate task progress clearly and frequently to IT and business management.

• Document work orders with implementation and testing details.

• Identify and document application requirements in collaboration with end users.

• Propose technical solutions to address business challenges and opportunities.

• Develop and implement test plans.

• Fulfill requirements through existing application interfaces or custom enhancements.

• Coordinate and carry out data migration and integration projects.

• Work in collaboration with programmers in a team setting.

• Prioritize tasks while managing timelines and stakeholder expectations.

• Engage in peer code reviews.

• Prepare code for production release.

• Document design and implementation specifics.

• Stay updated on new development tools and methodologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum education requirement of grade 12.

• At least 4 years of experience in an Application Development Role.

• Proven proficiency in all duties related to the Programmer Analyst I position.

• Familiarity with the .NET Framework (VB/C#).

• Experience with .NET Web Services (WebAPI).

• Proficiency in HTML, JavaScript, and jQuery.

• Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server.

• Knowledge of Git version control.

• Excellent communication skills, capable of discussing software requirements with business users in non-technical terms.

• Strong analytical thinking abilities.

• Capacity to multi-task and manage a high volume of concurrent tasks.

• Willingness to learn new business and technical concepts.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external IT teams to reach objectives.

• Availability for occasional evenings, weekends, or overtime to meet deadlines or implement solutions.
