Intermediate Azure Software Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Assist in promoting the adoption of AI-first software development methodologies within the project team.

• Utilize AI coding agents and AI-enhanced development platforms in solution design, implementation, automated testing, debugging, troubleshooting, refactoring, code reviews, and technical documentation.

• Create reusable prompts, agent instructions, development workflows, validation steps, and guidelines for responsible AI-assisted software development.

• Design, build, test, and sustain scalable, serverless, cloud-native SaaS functionalities.

• Engage in development using C#/.NET and Microsoft Azure technologies, which include Azure Functions, Microsoft Graph API, AKS, Azure Container Apps, and Event Hubs.

• Participate in architecture and technical decision-making, conduct code reviews, oversee CI/CD processes, ensure release readiness, and take ownership of critical product components.

• Operate within an Agile SCRUM framework.

• Design and implement new features for Quest’s On Demand Migration SaaS solution.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in Microsoft SharePoint and/or Microsoft Teams development.

• Completion of an undergraduate degree in computer science or equivalent practical experience.

• A minimum of three years of professional software development experience.

• Strong hands-on experience with C# and .NET.

• Professional background in utilizing AI coding agents, AI-assisted development tools, or agentic development workflows as a significant part of actual software development tasks.

• Advanced practical knowledge of GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Windsurf, or similar AI-driven development platforms.

• Capability to leverage AI coding tools to enhance software design, implementation efficiency, code quality, automated testing, debugging, troubleshooting, refactoring, code review, or technical documentation.

• Experience in creating Azure cloud applications using event-driven, service-oriented, or microservice architectures.

• Proven experience in developing scalable backend services and distributed systems.

• Familiarity with SharePoint development or administration.

• Experience with O365, CSOM, Microsoft SharePoint Migration API, or Microsoft Graph API.

• Knowledge of asynchronous programming.

• Experience in developing and maintaining YAML CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or similar systems.

• Experience with Azure OpenAI Service, large language model APIs, evaluation frameworks, observability, or AI application security.

• Proficiency in Angular or React and TypeScript.
