
Intermediate Account Manager – Retirement, Mid-Market

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +1 more state.
• Assist in the daily management of retirement plans.
• Understand customer expectations and cultivate strong working relationships.
• Collaborate with the manager to investigate issues and facilitate problem resolution.
• Build and maintain proactive, positive relationships with clients, financial professionals, and internal service teams.
• Deliver timely, accurate, and consistent information that meets or surpasses quality metrics.
• Identify and communicate potential improvements to management.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to address client needs, uphold action plans, and consult on products, services, and capabilities.
• Collect data from various systems to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve issues.
• Lead strategic client meetings either in person or via conference calls.
• Participate in training to gain functional knowledge of retirement plans.
• Support the mentoring of new account managers.
• Travel for client meetings and final sales presentations.
• A bachelor’s degree in a business-related field or equivalent education/experience.
• At least three years of customer relationship experience, including one year in the retirement or financial services sector.
• Familiarity with the daily administration of retirement plans.
• Strong relationship management skills with the ability to communicate professionally with clients, both verbally and in writing.
• Proficient in presentation, influence, and negotiation techniques.

• Skilled in using MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Applicants must have authorization to work for any employer in the U.S.
• Preferred: ASPPA designations (e.g., RPF, QKA) and/or relevant certifications.
• Preferred: Familiarity with internal systems (P3, Workplace Platform, AQT, etc.).
