
Intercom System Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.
• Develop tailored Intercom product or system solutions based on specific end-user requirements and vertical market needs.
• Assist with project tenders and the associated execution processes.
• Provide technical assistance to regional clients.
• Convert end-user needs into technical solutions, modifying standard products for various verticals and projects.
• Account for cross-business-unit and third-party integration requirements.
• Supervise the creation of technical concepts and system designs for specific product solutions and projects.
• Offer level 2 and level 3 guidance and support for troubleshooting and upgrades throughout the system's lifecycle.
• Aid in the final installation and commissioning, including troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with the sales team throughout project execution and acquisition.
• Help sales teams in conveying concepts to end-users, influencers, and system integrators.
• Diagnose, test, and debug RTS products and software, providing reports on findings to engineering.
• Facilitate training sessions for sales and local customers.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or Engineering, accompanied by relevant experience in professional communications.
• Relevant experience may be accepted in place of formal education.
• Over 5 years of experience in technical support or engineering, ideally in the Critical Communications or Broadcast sectors.
• Strong proficiency in the IP domain.
• Conceptual understanding of Audio over IP platforms, such as Dante, AES67, and SMPTE 2110.
• Good familiarity with RTS intercom standards, including 2-Wire, Analog, OMNEO, and RVON.
• Knowledge of server virtualization.
• Skill in constructing, interpreting, and understanding signal flow diagrams.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
• Capacity to plan, organize, and execute activities to achieve timely and accurate outcomes while managing multiple projects.
• Skill in identifying problems and root causes, applying creative problem-solving techniques.
• Active listening capabilities.
• Reliable and credible, maintaining consistency in actions and words.
• Valid passport required.
• Proficiency in English is mandatory.
• Indefinite U.S. work authorization is required; future sponsorship is not available.
• Typical office environment; some exposure to factory and warehouse settings may be necessary depending on the projects.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, including potential international travel.
