Freelance Camera Tracking System Engineer – Tennis

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Install camera and cabling infrastructure, including fiber optics, CAT6, and power cables around tennis courts.

• Safely route and optimally position equipment.

• Mount, secure, and configure cameras in specified locations.

• Assist with the setup of ancillary equipment and make necessary adjustments for dependable event coverage.

• Troubleshoot issues that arise during event operations.

• Collaborate with technical teams and event coordinators.

• Safely dismantle, maintain, and pack equipment after the event concludes.

• Adhere to health and safety protocols, ensuring equipment, cables, and workspaces remain hazard-free.

• Take guidance from supervisors and work closely with operators, technicians, and event personnel.

• Rig and operate the tennis Electronic Line Calling system in Knoxville.

⛳️ Requirements

• Reside in or near Knoxville.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.

• Capability to work in physically demanding settings and safely handle equipment.

• Comfort working at heights, including on ladders and catwalks.

• Strong practical problem-solving abilities and capacity to operate efficiently under tight timelines.

• Flexibility to accommodate event schedules, including early mornings, late evenings, and weekends as needed.

• Availability for the entire event period from November 4 to November 15.

• Previous experience in rigging at sports events, live broadcasts, concerts, or similar live event settings (preferred).

• Familiarity with camera rigging systems, mounting solutions, and related hardware (preferred).

• Understanding of safe working practices for rigging, cable management, and working at heights (preferred).

• Experience with fiber optic and network cabling installations (preferred).
