Freelance Camera Tracking System Engineer – Tennis

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in China.

📋 Description

• Install camera and cabling infrastructure around tennis courts, including fiber, CAT6, and power cables.

• Mount, secure, and configure cameras in specified locations.

• Set up auxiliary equipment and fine-tune systems to ensure dependable event coverage.

• Diagnose and resolve issues during event operations.

• Collaborate with technical teams, event coordinators, operators, technicians, and event personnel.

• Safely dismantle, maintain, and pack equipment post-event.

• Adhere to health and safety protocols, ensuring that equipment, cables, and workspaces remain free from hazards.

• Take guidance from supervisors to guarantee an efficient setup and delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• Based in or near Jingshan, China.

• Available for the entire event duration from September 24th to October 4th.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.

• Capability to work in physically demanding settings and safely manage equipment.

• Comfortable working at heights, including on ladders and catwalks.

• Strong practical problem-solving abilities.

• Efficient work under time constraints.

• Flexibility to accommodate event schedules, including early starts, late finishes, and weekends as necessary.

• Previous rigging experience at sports events, live broadcasts, concerts, or similar live event settings (preferred).

• Knowledge of camera rigging systems, mounting solutions, and related hardware (preferred).

• Understanding of safe working practices related to rigging, cable management, and working at height (preferred).

• Experience with fiber optic and network cabling installations (preferred).
