Integration Developer, Intermediate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Create and execute enterprise integration solutions leveraging Apache Camel and Enterprise Integration Patterns.

• Build and oversee event-streaming solutions with Apache Kafka, covering topics, producers, consumers, stream processing, and schema management.

• Design, develop, and expose APIs utilizing Red Hat 3scale API Management.

• Deploy, configure, manage, and enhance integrations on Red Hat OpenShift, AMQ Streams, and various messaging platforms.

• Integrate enterprise applications and services through REST, SOAP, databases, AMQ Broker/ActiveMQ Artemis, and SaaS platforms.

• Create and sustain automated testing, integration validation, and CI/CD processes.

• Monitor the health, performance, and reliability of integrations.

• Conduct data transformation and mapping using JSON, XML, Avro, and XSLT.

• Collaborate with Architecture, DevOps, and application development teams.

• Engage in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, technical documentation, and initiatives for continuous improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in Integration Development, Middleware Engineering, or a related field.

• Practical experience with Apache Camel, including Camel K, Camel Quarkus, or Spring Boot.

• Solid understanding of Apache Kafka, including producers, consumers, event streaming, Kafka Streams, and schema-based messaging.

• Familiarity with Red Hat Integration technologies, AMQ Streams, Red Hat Fuse, or Camel solutions deployed on OpenShift.

• Proficient in Java and/or Kotlin.

• Experience with Python is considered a plus.

• Background in designing and utilizing REST and SOAP web services, including OpenAPI/Swagger specifications.

• Strong knowledge of JSON, XML, and Avro.

• Experience in deploying and supporting containerized workloads with Red Hat OpenShift and/or Kubernetes.

• Understanding of Git-based workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.

• Secret or higher security clearance is required at the time of application.
