This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create and manage comprehensive solutions architecture.
• Design and update Single Line Diagrams that integrate electrical subsystems, gas power turbines, Energy Management Systems, battery energy storage, and grid hardware and software.
• Assess and recommend application-specific design architectures.
• Conduct studies and simulations to verify system response and performance.
• Establish equipment LCOE and operational interfaces with business units.
• Convert customer reliability requirements for internal stakeholders.
• Assist with LCOE and reliability assessments.
• Take the lead in defining onsite generation reports, gathering information, conducting customer meetings, and submitting final reports.
• Coordinate with business units for ongoing customer projects and proposals.
• Facilitate and lead cross-functional coordination studies and requirements testing for complete power systems.
• Work collaboratively with Consulting Services and engineering, sales, and product-development teams at GE Vernova.
• Analyze heavy-duty or aeroderivative turbine studies to guide system design and optimization.
• Create reference architectures for repeatable applications and implement them in customer projects.
• Engage with utilities and Independent System Operators to ensure adherence to industry standards and regulations.

• Promote the growth of GE Vernova’s power systems capabilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or power systems engineering from an accredited university or college.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in engineering, product management, or related fields.
• Over 3 years of experience managing projects to completion on time and within budget as an individual contributor or project manager.
• More than 3 years of experience in gas turbine, combined-cycle, or turbomachinery application engineering.
• In-depth understanding of equipment performance and operational capabilities, including ramp rates, black-start options, emissions, and available upgrades or design options to enhance heat rate, output, and overall plant performance.
• Willingness to travel at least 25% of the time.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presentations to both internal and external business executives.
• Knowledge of government structures, global energy policy, international power system codes and standards, power market structures, and the effects of regulatory reforms.
• Basic understanding of power systems and controls phenomena, including steady-state flow, voltage stability, least-cost generation planning and operation, and controls coordination.
• Familiarity with technical regulatory standards and the evaluation, testing, and reporting of grid code compliance.
• General knowledge of power systems equipment, such as generation, load smoothing and storage, transmission, distribution, industrial equipment, BESS, solid-state transformers, generators, transformers, circuit breakers, arresters, capacitors, synchronous condensers, HVDC, and power electronic converters.
• Basic understanding of controls concepts for equipment in grid-interactive power systems.
• Knowledge of load-flow, dynamic stability, and/or production simulation modeling concepts, applications, and validation.
• Must possess legal authorization to work in the United States.
