This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the initial point of contact for patients, creating a friendly introduction to their care.
• Address patient inquiries and provide education regarding treatments, programs, and subsequent steps.
• Arrange appointments across various clinics and providers.
• Confirm insurance eligibility and clarify coverage and financial aspects.
• Offer instructions for appointment preparation, consent details, and clinic orientation.
• Oversee referrals, care transitions, and follow-up communication.
• Respond to patient questions via phone, email, and voicemail.
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of patient data in EMR and CRM systems.
• Collaborate with clinic providers, administrative personnel, and TCC teammates.
• Engage in team meetings, daily huddles, and mandatory training sessions.
• Assist with referral processing, document management, billing accuracy, authorization, payment, and documentation procedures.
• Identify workflow improvement opportunities and take part in process enhancement initiatives.
• Reduce appointment gaps through proactive schedule management.
• Uphold the confidentiality of patient health and financial information in line with HIPAA regulations.
• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• 1–3 years of experience in a healthcare, call center, or patient access setting.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience specifically in healthcare, call center, or patient access.
• At least 1 year of experience in insurance verification or scheduling.
• Demonstrated capability to handle a high volume of calls while maintaining quality service under pressure.
• Outstanding communication, empathy, and organizational abilities.
• Familiarity with EMR systems, insurance verification, and scheduling processes.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to accurately follow established procedures.
• Availability required Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM / 6:30 PM PST.
• Preferred: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration or a related discipline.
• Preferred: Experience in behavioral health or integrated care environments.
• Preferred: Knowledge of CRM systems and HIPAA compliance standards.
• Preferred: Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Preferred: A minimum of 1 year of experience with EMR or CRM systems.
• Must maintain HIPAA confidentiality and adhere to relevant privacy, compliance, and regulatory standards.
