
Insurer Broking Accounts Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Conduct reconciliations of insurer statements, promptly investigating and resolving any discrepancies.
• Actively manage and pursue outstanding debts, with a focus on minimizing aged debt.
• Record receipts and accurately reconcile accounts for clients and insurers.
• Investigate and address accounting and reconciliation inquiries with the relevant stakeholders.
• Prepare and send payment advice documents to insurers.
• Perform daily, weekly, and month-end reconciliations and balancing tasks.
• Calculate and reconcile the commissions owed.
• Generate and distribute reports on credit control and aged debt.
• Ensure that payments and accounting activities are conducted accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
• Cultivate and sustain relationships with insurers, clients, customers, and internal stakeholders.
• Take ownership of queries and outstanding items until they are resolved.
• Prior experience in Insurance Broking Accounts (IBA).
• Strong knowledge and understanding of IBA procedures and processes.
• Familiarity with Acturis and/or other insurance broking accounting systems.
• Excellent reconciliation and accounting skills, paired with a keen attention to detail.
• Experience in credit control and aged debt management is a plus, but not mandatory.
• Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities, with the capacity to prioritize competing deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence in engaging both internal and external stakeholders.
• A collaborative, proactive, and can-do mindset, coupled with a high level of integrity.
• Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Capability to work independently, take ownership of tasks, and manage workload effectively in a remote setting.
