Insurance Financial Reporting Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +17 more states.

📋 Description

• Document and uphold financial processes to ensure efficient and precise reporting.

• Examine month-over-month variations in financial results and deliver clear reports to leadership.

• Collaborate with actuarial and reinsurance teams.

• Work alongside the Data Office to identify and outline controls and requirements for data availability.

• Create audit-ready documentation for essential financial processes and controls.

• Oversee the preparation and submission of statutory financial statements, including quarterly and annual NAIC filings.

• Conduct RBC analysis and utilize NAIC RBC forecasting tools.

• Establish an internal control testing framework.

• Assess and document cash handling processes along with reconciliation procedures.

• Partner with Insurance and Compliance teams on data and regulatory requests pertinent to state expansion or reporting.

• Contribute to initiatives that enhance financial transparency, data readiness, and compliance.

• Manage the statutory process comprehensively as a senior individual contributor without direct reports.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field; CPA certification is a plus.

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in property & casualty insurance finance or accounting.

• Preferably familiar with GAAP and statutory reporting.

• Strong understanding of financial reporting, controls, and insurance accounting.

• Proficient in interpreting financial outcomes and transforming data into actionable reports.

• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Applicants must be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States.
