This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
β’ Take charge of and enhance budgeting, forecasting, rolling forecasts, long-term planning, and data analysis.
β’ Create, sustain, and refine integrated financial models encompassing P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, liquidity, investment cases, sensitivities, and growth scenarios.
β’ Conduct variance analysis comparing actual results to budget/forecast, pinpoint operational and financial drivers, challenge assumptions, and suggest corrective actions.
β’ Provide monthly and quarterly management reports, KPI dashboards, executive analyses, and materials for senior leadership.
β’ Keep up-to-date with German HGB accounting and reporting standards and ensure alignment of management reporting, planning, and financial analysis with statutory accounting requirements.
β’ Collaborate with the Accounting team during month-end, quarter-end, and year-end processes to guarantee reliable financial data.
β’ Create scalable FP&A processes, reporting structures, KPI frameworks, financial controls, and planning methodologies.
β’ Perform ad-hoc financial analyses to support pricing, cost optimization, investment decisions, organizational planning, and strategic initiatives.
β’ Establish and oversee financial and operational KPIs including revenue, gross margin, OPEX, EBITDA, cash flow, working capital, and productivity.
β’ Facilitate the evolution of the Finance function through standardization, automation, internal controls, documentation, governance, and process enhancements.
β’ Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
β’ CFA, Bilanzbuchhalter, Controller certification, or similar professional qualifications are advantageous.
β’ Proven experience in FP&A, Controlling, Corporate Finance, Financial Analysis, or a similar financial role.
β’ In-depth knowledge of German HGB and experience with financial statements and reporting within a German business context.
β’ Comprehensive understanding of P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, management accounting, budgeting, forecasting, working capital, and financial performance management.
β’ Advanced proficiency in Excel, including complex financial modeling, sensitivity/scenario analysis, and PivotTables.
β’ Ability to effectively operate in a growing company, including enhancing processes that may initially be manual, disjointed, or inadequate for future organizational needs.
β’ Strong analytical judgment and meticulous attention to detail.
β’ Capacity to recognize the commercial implications behind financial data.
β’ Proficient in communicating complex financial concepts in a clear and concise manner.
β’ High level of ownership, independence, and execution discipline; capable of prioritizing tasks effectively.
β’ Proficiency in both German and English is essential.
