This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead and oversee both small and large controls projects, emphasizing technical execution and project management.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and structural teams to successfully complete projects.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and address controls engineering challenges.
• Create digital systems designs, encompassing PLC, DCS, HSI, and networked computer systems.
• Draft functional and implementation requirements, as well as procurement specifications for nuclear plant control systems.
• Engage with clients to guarantee effective project execution and client satisfaction.
• Prepare and assess technical reports, calculations, and studies.
• Manage resource allocation and develop task completion timelines and budgets.
• Assist in the development of proposals.
• Prepare and review diagrams and drawings for new and upgraded control solutions.
• Analyze vendor bids from a technical standpoint.
• Collaborate with vendors, review documentation, confirm equipment compliance, and witness FAT performance on behalf of clients.
• Aid in project implementation at client facilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in I&C Design Engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience working in a nuclear facility.
• PE license is preferred.
• Strong ability to communicate clearly in both speech and writing.
• Technical proficiency with available equipment and established pre-engineered systems for systems design.
• Experience acting as the firm's client liaison in a support or lead engineering capacity.
• Familiarity with reviewing design documentation.
