This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +7 more states.
• Establish and nurture relationships with customers in state and local government agencies.
• Oversee all phases of the sales process for handheld Field & Safety Instruments utilizing portable molecular spectroscopy (Raman and FTIR) techniques for identifying unknown chemicals.
• Organize and coordinate in-person meetings with state or local government clients within the designated sales region.
• Deliver presentations and demonstrations of technology to both existing and potential customers.
• Discover new business opportunities in the law enforcement, fire hazmat, and narcotics identification sectors.
• Collaborate with channel partners on forecasting, training, and establishing goals.
• Offer technical consultation and problem-solving solutions to satisfy customer requirements.
• Achieve or surpass set sales objectives and fulfill bookings commitments in line with business unit goals.
• Develop and execute strategies and tactical plans to foster growth.
• Convey bookings outlook to management and the wider organization.
• Enhance sales pipeline and forecast management utilizing sales tools like Salesforce.com.
• Work together with product management teams and provide recommendations based on marketing and new product strategies.
• Prepare quotes and tender submissions, coordinate with management, and follow up with clients.
• Engage in trade shows and technical seminars/workshops.
• A bachelor’s degree in business, chemistry, or a related scientific field is preferred.
• Experience in commercial sales to public safety clients (law enforcement, fire hazmat).
• Technical expertise in analytical instrumentation and its applications.
• Proficient consultative selling and negotiation abilities.
• Capacity to formulate and implement strategic sales plans.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce.com) and the MS Office suite.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Ability to cultivate and sustain relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Experience in collaborative work environments.
• Proficiency in English is required; additional languages are advantageous.
• Possession of a valid driver's license.
• Willingness to travel up to 75%.
• Must reside within the primary sales territory (South Central U.S. near a major airport): TX, NV, UT, AZ, NM, OK, KS, MO, and AR.
