This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Lead, mentor, and cultivate a team of sales professionals.
• Foster accountability through effective territory management, pipeline development, accurate forecasting, and performance oversight.
• Formulate and implement annual business strategies to achieve revenue, growth, and profitability goals.
• Assist with complex customer opportunities and strategic account engagements.
• Ensure efficient resource allocation and alignment of sales efforts with business objectives.
• Act as the strategic leader for the Academic and Life Science Research market segments in the UK and Ireland.
• Create and execute market expansion strategies that align with Agilent's commercial targets.
• Recognize emerging trends, customer requirements, competitive factors, and market prospects.
• Collaborate with global and regional business units on portfolio management, marketing, and go-to-market strategies.
• Advocate for customer-focused solutions to enhance market standing and drive sustainable growth.
• Partner with Marketing, Product Specialists, Applications, Service, and Support Sales teams.
• Spearhead strategic initiatives that align with organizational objectives and promote continuous improvement.
• Promote collaboration across commercial teams to maximize customer value and enhance business performance.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a scientific, technical, or business-related field, or equivalent experience.
• Over 5 years of sales experience in the analytical, laboratory, scientific instrumentation, or related capital equipment sectors.
• Proven leadership experience through management of personnel, project leadership, team development, or mentoring roles.
• Strong commercial insight with a track record of developing sales strategies, managing business performance, and achieving results through others.
• Exceptional communication, coaching, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Proficiency in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with analytical instrumentation technologies such as Chromatography, Mass Spectrometry, Spectroscopy, or similar laboratory solutions.
• Background in supporting Academia, Life Science Research, Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, or Government research clients.
• Experience in Product Management, Applications, Technical Sales, or other scientific-commercial leadership positions within the analytical instrumentation industry.
• Option to work remotely.
