Instructional Designer, Part Time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Utilize adult learning principles and instructional design techniques to develop captivating learning solutions.

• Create various learning resources including instructor-led training, virtual instructor-led sessions, e-learning modules, microlearning content, videos, job aids, facilitator guides, participant materials, and more.

• Compose learning objectives, curriculum outlines, scripts, storyboards, knowledge assessments, evaluations, and related tools.

• Convert intricate operational, technical, and business information into user-friendly training materials.

• Ensure that learning assets adhere to quality standards in instruction, accessibility, branding, usability, and learning management system (LMS) deployment.

• Collaborate with Learning & Development Managers, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), facilitators, business leaders, and cross-functional collaborators to assess learner needs and validate the content.

• Facilitate discussions on content development and oversee stakeholder feedback, review processes, approvals, and project scope.

• Oversee the design and development deliverables, timelines, dependencies, documentation, version control, and approval records.

• Manage multiple projects and shifting priorities while adhering to established timelines.

• Conduct quality assurance reviews to ensure accuracy, instructional integrity, functionality, accessibility, visual coherence, and alignment with learning objectives.

• Identify risks, delays, and content deficiencies while communicating project status updates.

• Develop and uphold knowledge checks, assessments, surveys, and evaluation tools.

• Leverage business and L&D data along with feedback to enhance the learner experience, training adoption, and overall effectiveness.

• Stay updated on instructional design trends, learning technologies, and approved AI-enabled tools.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Learning & Development, Communications, Business, or a related field; equivalent experience is also acceptable.

• A minimum of three years of experience in instructional design, e-learning, curriculum development, or talent development.

• Understanding of adult learning theory, instructional design frameworks, learner-centered design, and assessment methodologies.

• Proven experience in creating instructor-led, virtual, and digital learning solutions.

• Proficiency in e-learning authoring, presentation, and multimedia software.

• Familiarity with Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, Synthesia, or similar tools is preferred.

• Experience collaborating with SMEs and stakeholders to produce effective learning content and manage feedback effectively.

• Strong skills in project management, organization, writing, and meticulous attention to detail.

• Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) is required; Workday Learning experience is preferred.
