This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa.
β’ Innovate and enhance adult-learning products in support of the National Institute of Corrections.
β’ Collaborate with experts in corrections, technical writers, graphic designers, accessibility specialists, and project leaders.
β’ Perform needs, task, performance, and audience analyses.
β’ Utilize adult-learning theories and instructional design methodologies for course creation.
β’ Design and implement instructor-led, virtual, blended, and e-learning solutions.
β’ Create competency-based curricula that leverage technology.
β’ Partner with corrections subject matter experts to research and validate technical content.
β’ Simplify complex technical information into clear, impactful adult-learning products.
β’ Address content issues throughout the development process.
β’ Integrate accessibility and information-design principles into learning products.
β’ Assist in testing, evaluation, validation, revision, and publication of educational materials.
β’ Must have or be eligible for a Secret security clearance.
β’ Proven experience in instructional systems design and adult learning.
β’ Strong understanding of adult learning theories.
β’ Familiarity with instructional design methodologies like ADDIE or SAM.
β’ Experience in performing needs, task, performance, and audience analyses.
β’ Background in developing competency-based instructor-led and e-learning courses.
β’ Experience working collaboratively with subject matter experts.
β’ Knowledge of accessibility considerations in digital learning environments.
β’ Proficient in ELB Gold Suite Studio/Lectora.
β’ Proficient in Articulate 360 Suite.
β’ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
β’ Preferred: Experience in developing training for federal, state, local, corrections, law enforcement, or public safety sectors.
β’ Preferred: Experience in modernizing legacy e-learning courses and creating microlearning content.
β’ Preferred: Experience in supporting blended hard-skills training and virtual instructor-led training.
