Instructional Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Create and implement captivating learning solutions tailored for employees, customers, partners, or other specific audiences, aligned with business and educational goals.

• Assess training needs, learner characteristics, current materials, and performance deficiencies to identify suitable instructional approaches.

• Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and stakeholders to collect information, validate content, and ensure instructional precision.

• Develop storyboards, instructional scripts, course outlines, facilitator guides, assessments, quizzes, simulations, and various other educational resources.

• Simplify and structure complex technical or business ideas into content that is accessible and friendly for learners.

• Design interactive e-learning modules utilizing instructional design principles alongside multimedia elements.

• Implement adult learning theories, instructional design frameworks, and learning principles to craft impactful educational experiences.

• Revise and enhance existing training resources based on feedback from learners, business needs, and content effectiveness.

• Ensure that learning materials adhere to quality, accessibility, branding, and instructional standards.

• Collaborate with graphic designers, multimedia developers, video editors, and other learning professionals to execute learning programs.

• Oversee multiple instructional design projects while adhering to established timelines and quality benchmarks.

• Perform content reviews, conduct quality checks, and facilitate stakeholder walkthroughs prior to final deployment.

• Remain informed about advancements in learning technologies, instructional design trends, digital learning innovations, and AI-powered learning tools.

⛳️ Requirements

• 7–15 years of experience in Instructional Design, Learning & Development, e-learning, or a related discipline.

• Comprehensive understanding of instructional design methodologies and principles of adult learning.

• Proven experience in developing structured and engaging learning materials for both digital and instructor-led formats.

• Proficient in storyboarding, content creation, assessment design, and formulating learning objectives.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

• Capability to collaborate effectively with SMEs, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.

• Strong project management, organizational skills, and keen attention to detail.

• Ability to independently oversee instructional design projects from the requirements gathering stage through to final delivery.

• Experience with tools like Articulate Storyline, Camtasia, or Adobe Captivate is a plus.

• Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and SCORM-compliant course development is beneficial.

• Exposure to multimedia design, animation, video editing, simulations, and gamification is advantageous.

• Knowledge of AI-assisted content creation and personalized learning approaches is a bonus.
