Instructional Designer, Articulate Storyline

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Revise, enhance, and finalize an existing Articulate Storyline course utilizing content, edits, and feedback provided by the client.

• Rapidly evaluate and adapt within the pre-existing Storyline course frameworks and source files initially created by another designer.

• Implement advanced modifications to triggers, layers, states, variables, interactions, branching, and navigation.

• Update text, graphics, layouts, interactive components, and other course elements while preserving the established aesthetic of the client.

• Enhance visual presentation, formatting, consistency, usability, and overall learner experience whenever feasible.

• Diagnose existing Storyline functionality and resolve issues impacting course performance or learner navigation.

• Ensure instructional, visual, and functional consistency throughout a complex course.

• Accurately and efficiently integrate detailed client feedback and manage multiple rounds of revisions.

• Revise related materials, such as Learner Guides, participant documents, or supporting documentation, when included in the project scope.

• Perform comprehensive quality-assurance reviews prior to each client submission.

• Test the finalized course to confirm that all functionalities operate as intended.

• Prepare organized, complete Storyline source files and deliverables ready for publication.

• Proactively communicate regarding project status, inquiries, technical challenges, revision needs, and deadlines.

• Operate independently and effectively manage priorities within a fast-paced project timeline.


⛳️ Requirements

• Advanced hands-on expertise with Articulate Storyline.

• Proven experience in developing, revising, or significantly enhancing complex Storyline courses.

• Experience in successfully taking over and modifying Storyline projects that were originally designed by another instructional designer.

• Strong working knowledge of Storyline features, including triggers, states, layers, variables, interactions, branching, and navigation.

• Excellent troubleshooting abilities with a knack for identifying and resolving issues within existing Storyline builds.

• Strong capabilities in visual design and instructional design.

• Ability to uphold an established design system and aesthetic while recognizing suitable opportunities for enhancement.

• Exceptional attention to detail and a proven personal quality-assurance process.

• Capacity to interpret and execute detailed client feedback with precision.

• Proficient in managing multiple revisions efficiently without compromising quality or consistency.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Dependable responsiveness, follow-through, and adherence to deadlines.

• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.

• Availability to commit full-time hours during this short-term engagement.

• Preferred: Experience in developing, updating, testing, and publishing SCORM-compatible eLearning.

• Preferred: Experience with advanced Storyline interactions or highly customized course functionalities.

• Preferred: Experience in creating or updating Learner Guides, participant materials, facilitator materials, or related training documentation.

• Preferred: Experience supporting corporate, nonprofit, government, healthcare, education, or professional training clients.

• Preferred: Experience collaborating directly with clients or consulting teams in deadline-driven environments.

• Preferred: Experience managing multiple rounds of client revisions under tight timelines.
