This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Develop video content that fosters knowledge and skill enhancement for The UPS Store franchise network.
• Utilize instructional design techniques to create and implement effective video training.
• Work in partnership with subject matter experts, managers, vendors, clients, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
• Upload new training materials into the learning management system for the franchise network.
• Oversee and coordinate projects related to video content and training resources.
• Organize video course planning, brainstorming sessions, media development, and scriptwriting.
• Plan and carry out video shoots, which include location scouting and directing activities.
• Capture high-quality video and audio; operate cameras, lighting, and audio equipment.
• Manage the casting and oversight of principal talent, background performers, and voice actors.
• Edit video and audio footage, incorporating graphics, closed captioning, and special effects.
• Maintain video libraries and assist in strategizing distribution across various platforms.
• Create innovative concepts, storyboards, and scripts.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and implement data-driven enhancements.
• Transform existing instructional content into microlearning video formats.
• Collect training needs data and gather content for training materials.
• Review training procedures and guidelines to ensure alignment with learning objectives.
• Identify advancements in online video learning and suggest project enhancements.
• Applicants must be located within the San Diego area due to project specifications.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Skilled in using video cameras, lighting, audio recording, and video editing software.
• Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator.
• Strong storytelling and visual design capabilities.
• Knowledge of adult learning theory and course design principles.
• Ability to identify learning gaps, implementation challenges, and suitable learning metrics.
• Familiarity with project planning, implementation goals, risks, and timely project updates.
• Competence in maintaining and effectively using video equipment.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree or an internationally recognized equivalent in Video Production, Visual Communications, Journalism, Media Production, Digital Media, or a related field.
• Preferred: Experience in developing corporate training video content and/or materials.
• Preferred: A minimum of 2+ years of experience in video production and editing.
