This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Install and commission conveyor systems along with electrical connections on industrial handling equipment.
• Perform installation, repairs, and modifications on equipment in the field.
• Deliver customer training as required.
• Conduct maintenance and provide technical support on equipment, integrated systems, subsystems, and software.
• Achieve weekly project installation targets within established deadlines.
• Record inspections, maintenance, and repair activities and ensure timely submission of paperwork.
• Maintain and calibrate tools and testing equipment.
• Evaluate product and equipment performance, suggesting modifications or enhancements as needed.
• Offer technical support to customers and other service professionals.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions to swiftly resolve issues.
• Install, upgrade, and remove products while coordinating engineering field modifications.
• Foster effective customer communication and relationships.
• Collaborate with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
• Travel weekly to customer locations, typically airports, with potential for up to 100% travel.
• Adapt to varying schedules, including nights, overtime, and days outside the standard Monday-Friday workweek.
• Possess a valid passport by the hire date.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to the USA.
• High school diploma or equivalent, along with 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Associate degree or completion of a technical program in electronics, or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in field service or installation environments.
• Must successfully pass a criminal background check, drug screening, and a comprehensive credit check.
• Capable of safely executing essential physical job functions.
• Ability to meet essential qualitative and/or quantitative productivity benchmarks.
• Physically fit to navigate narrow spaces, ascend ladders/stairs, and lift over 50 lbs. without assistance.
• Proficient in computer usage and familiar with all programs in the MS Office Suite.
• Willingness to learn specialized software applications.
• Preferred knowledge of X-ray and/or CT technologies.
• Experience in network installation and configuration is advantageous.
• PLC experience is a plus.
• Previous experience in field electrical assembly is preferred.
• Experience in software integration with electrical/mechanical equipment is also preferred.
• Flexibility to work both day and night shifts, along with weekly travel commitments.
• Exceptional oral and written communication abilities.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for electronic repairs.
