Inspections Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Perform inspections of pressure equipment and containment systems in compliance with PED, PESR, ADR, TPED, and TPER regulations.

• Evaluate and document inspection results independently, adhering to SGS protocols, industry benchmarks, and legal obligations.

• Oversee inspection operations safely and effectively, ensuring adherence to risk assessments, health and safety laws, and company guidelines.

• Offer technical advice and assistance to colleagues and clients regarding pressure equipment inspections and compliance issues.

• Execute inspection responsibilities with a focus on commercial viability, enhancing operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

• Operate across a diverse array of client locations providing inspection services.

• Assist various industrial clients throughout the UK.


⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience inspecting pressure vessels, piping systems, safety devices, and associated pressure equipment.

• Background in engineering, inspection, manufacturing, process, petrochemical, or industrial settings.

• Familiarity with UK and European pressure equipment regulations and standards.

• Experience in conducting statutory inspections and preparing technical documentation.

• Capability to work independently with precision and professional judgement.

• Engineering Technician qualification, ONC with relevant experience, or completion of a recognized engineering apprenticeship in a pertinent field.

• Strong knowledge of the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED 2014/68/EU) and Pressure Equipment Safety Regulations (PESR/PSSR).

• Understanding of dangerous goods transportation regulations or a related industry area.

• Valid UK Driving Licence and readiness to travel to client sites.

• Comprehension of Health & Safety at Work legislation and safe working systems.

• HNC or HND in a relevant engineering discipline (preferred).

• Membership in a recognized professional engineering institution with proof of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) (preferred).

• Familiarity with SAFed technical guidance documentation (preferred).

• Specialized qualifications such as LEEA, CCSNG Passport to Safety, IOSH Working Safely, IPAF, Confined Space, Working at Height, or Wire Rope Examiner certifications (preferred).

• Experience in accredited inspection environments and quality management systems (preferred).
