This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Deliver VWR solutions to clients within designated market segments.
• Oversee a territory that encompasses numerous customers across different markets.
• Identify and establish new customer relationships by managing a sales pipeline.
• Create and present customer proposals that highlight VWR's value proposition.
• Engage in consultative selling by detailing product offerings, assessing customer needs, and recommending Avantor solutions.
• Formulate strategic territory business plans in collaboration with sales management to drive sales growth and meet quotas.
• Provide proposals and implement sales strategies aimed at achieving sales growth.
• Foster and maintain customer relationships to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
• Manage VWR's product portfolio while executing the company's sales and marketing strategies.
• Develop strategies for customer retention and enhance VWR's engagement with existing clients.
• Utilize resources to execute marketing plans, strategies, and sales processes effectively.
• Represent Avantor and cultivate robust relationships with manufacturers.
• Collaborate with local manufacturer representatives to enhance product knowledge, pricing, and account profitability.
• Travel to the United States for annual sales conferences and periodic training sessions.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.
• A college degree or equivalent applicable experience.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in a complex sales environment with multiple decision-makers and a focus on solution-based selling.
• Demonstrated and verifiable sales success in driving growth through a consultative and strategic selling approach.
• Experience in business-to-business (B2B) sales.
• Preferred experience in distribution.
• A scientific background and/or experience in a laboratory or research setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with technology platforms such as SAP C4C and Qlik Sense.
• A background in science or manufacturing research is preferred.
• Exceptional communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to engage in business discussions with business owners and decision-makers.
• Capability to navigate challenging situations and interactions.
• Proficiency in working independently while effectively managing time and territory.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to strategically sell within an account.
• Capacity to understand the operations of individual customers.
• Willingness to travel to customer locations as needed.
• Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office.
