This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Promote and expand business with current or assigned accounts
• Achieve designated financial targets
• Actively engage with prospective clients and cultivate new contacts
• Attend industry meetings and exhibitions in a professional manner
• Provide timely shipping reports and identify areas for improvement
• Create promotional and educational materials
• Recommend products and solutions to address customer challenges
• Offer feedback on forecasts
• Collaborate with customer service, sales, and business analysts
• Conduct research, reporting, data collection, and analysis of small orders or quote opportunities
• Drive opportunities under $50,000 through customer outreach and follow-up
• Manage multiple tasks efficiently
• Foster teamwork and maintain positive relationships
• Work together with customer service on pricing and quotes
• Escalate issues to plant managers, schedulers, and shippers
• Increase business within an assigned territory and customer base
• Build customer relationships, uncover new business prospects, support sales growth, and provide exceptional customer service
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, sales, marketing, business, or a related technical field, preferably with an engineering or technical background
• 1-3 years of experience in technical sales and business development, tailored to territory needs and team skill requirements
• Customer service experience managing multiple clients and a high volume of daily quotes, calls, and emails
• Strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, planning, organization, process enhancement, business acumen, and relationship-building capabilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Technologically adept and comfortable utilizing computers and digital tools on a daily basis
• Experience with Excel for creating tables and reports, as well as managing, analyzing, and interpreting data
• Preferred experience in telecom, datacom, or utility power sectors
• Self-driven, results-oriented, competitive, persistent, adaptable, and collaborative
• Ability to influence stakeholders and perform effectively in a dynamic environment
• Successful completion of pre-employment background check and drug screening
