This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts, +1 more state.
• Quickly address incoming inquiries and perform focused outbound prospecting within pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors that may require micronization or inhalation services.
• Interact with scientific, technical, and business stakeholders to gain insights into the molecule, dosage form, development stage, target particle profile, timeline, funding, decision-making processes, and overarching program goals.
• Evaluate initial technical and commercial compatibility by aligning customer needs with relevant micronization, particle characterization, dry powder formulation, analytical, filling, packaging, and scaling capabilities.
• Qualify leads based on established criteria, document findings clearly, and transform suitable leads into actionable opportunities with a prompt and organized transition to Business Development.
• Develop and nurture a sales pipeline through marketing initiatives, conferences, referrals, digital outreach, re-engagement of dormant leads, and targeted communication with key accounts and emerging programs.
• Investigate target companies, molecules, therapeutic areas, development pipelines, competitive dynamics, and influential stakeholders to create strategic outreach plans and account-specific insights.
• Collaborate with Business Development on territory and account strategies, prospecting priorities, customer follow-up, meeting preparations, and coordination of subsequent steps during the early sales process.
• Work with technical subject matter experts to clarify customer needs, facilitate capability discussions, and ensure that potential opportunities align with the appropriate site, service offerings, and technical teams.
• Keep accurate and current records of leads, accounts, contacts, activities, and opportunities in Salesforce, including qualification justifications, customer requirements, next actions, and handoff statuses.
• Monitor lead advancement, identify stalled or non-responsive opportunities, aid in re-engagement efforts, and provide insights into pipeline activities, customer feedback, and market trends.
• Provide insights to Marketing and commercial partners to enhance audience targeting, campaign follow-ups, messaging strategies, content development, and overall lead management efficiency.
• A Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Business, Marketing, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of two years of experience in life sciences, inside sales, business development, marketing, customer success, or a similar customer-facing commercial position.
• Excellent consultative communication, organizational, research, CRM, and AI capabilities, with the ability to engage both scientific and business audiences effectively.
• Familiarity with CDMO services, pharmaceutical development, micronization, particle engineering, inhalation, or related technologies.
