This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Showcase PerkinElmer's capabilities in the marketplace.
• Serve as a liaison to customers.
• Represent PerkinElmer's products and services within a designated territory.
• Increase sales volume and implement sales strategies that align with regional and company objectives.
• Oversee existing customer accounts while identifying new targeted opportunities.
• Engage in trade shows.
• Formulate product-line strategies to enhance market share, profitability, and compensation margins.
• Develop and execute comprehensive business plans.
• Effectively manage time and territory.
• Deliver business and technical presentations.
• Recognize customer needs and market trends.
• Advocate for and position PerkinElmer support services.
• Provide insights on techniques and products.
• Follow up on inquiries regarding goods and services.
• Maintain customer data in approved systems, including CRM.
• Update the opportunity funnel and weekly sales forecasts.
• Manage the sales funnel to enhance forecasting precision and achieve growth targets.
• Foster partnerships with customers and suppliers.
• Recommend solutions based on knowledge of competitive products and market dynamics.
• Work consultatively to address customer challenges.
• Collaborate with regional sales, service teams, product specialists, and business unit teams.
• Provide local assistance for scheduled customer events.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry or a related discipline.
• Comprehensive understanding of the capital equipment sales cycle.
• Practical knowledge of Inorganic products (AA, ICP, and ICP/MS).
• 3–5 years of direct sales experience in analytical instrumentation or relevant laboratory experience.
• Ability to travel 50% of the time.
• Strong understanding of business factors influencing account profitability and competitive positioning, as well as laboratory operations.
• Familiarity with analytical laboratory software and instruments is preferred.
• Experience working in a laboratory setting with Inorganic instrumentation is advantageous.
