This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, biologic, and other advanced infusion therapies in patients' homes.
• Perform thorough nursing assessments within the patient's residence.
• Evaluate and accurately interpret physicians' orders and treatment plans.
• Prepare and deliver chemotherapy, immunotherapy, biologic medications, and prescribed infusion therapies.
• Monitor patients before, during, and after treatment sessions.
• Identify and respond appropriately to infusion reactions and other clinical changes.
• Conduct peripheral IV insertions and phlebotomy procedures.
• Access and manage PICCs, midlines, central venous catheters, and implanted ports.
• Execute central-line dressing changes and provide ongoing line maintenance.
• Educate patients and caregivers on treatment, medication administration, potential side effects, safety precautions, and when to contact the clinical team.
• Maintain communication with patients, families, infusion pharmacies, physicians, and internal clinical staff.
• Ensure timely and accurate electronic clinical documentation.
• Conduct follow-up visits and ongoing assessments as required.
• Mentor or evaluate newly hired infusion nurses upon request.
• A minimum of 3–4 years of recent, hands-on experience in chemotherapy and immunotherapy.
• Active, unrestricted New York State RN license and registration.
• Current ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate or relevant ONCC certification.
• Recent infusion experience in home care, oncology, an infusion center, hospital, clinic, or similar clinical setting.
• Proven competence in administering chemotherapy, immunotherapy, biologics, and other complex infusion therapies.
• Strong skills in venous access and central-line management.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS is preferred.
• Capability to independently assess patients, recognize adverse reactions, and initiate appropriate interventions.
• Reliable transportation for field-based patient visits.
• Proficiency in using electronic, paperless clinical documentation systems.
• Valid NYS Registered Nursing License and Registration Certificate.
• Up-to-date medical documentation, including physical examination and required TB screening.
• MMR-Varicella titers lab report or vaccination records.
• TDAP vaccine and Hep B vaccination series, titers, or declination required.
• Urine Drug Screen conducted within the last 6 months.
• Flu vaccination, if applicable, or declination required.
• Two forms of government-issued ID to verify employment eligibility.
• Two satisfactory professional references.
• Preferred: OCN®, BMTCN®, CBCN®, or another relevant ONCC credential.
• Preferred: Experience in home-infusion nursing.
• Preferred: IVIG/SCIG experience.
• Preferred: Supervisory, preceptor, or clinical education experience.
• Preferred: Competency in accessing implanted ports, including MediPorts.
• Preferred: Experience working independently with medically complex patients.
• Flexible per-diem, part-time scheduling with cases that accommodate the nurse’s availability.
• Competitive compensation starting at $50.00+ per hour base rate.
• Individual cases may offer $60–$150+ based on therapy, clinical complexity, required competencies, and level of care provided.
• Expected minimum of 10 hours per week.
