Infrastructure Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and manage enterprise-grade platform services across both on-premises and hybrid cloud settings.

• Construct and sustain cloud-like platform functionalities, including compute, storage, networking, data processing, and observability services.

• Create Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for the automation of infrastructure provisioning and lifecycle management.

• Develop and execute GitOps-based deployment strategies utilizing ArgoCD and GitHub Actions.

• Build, manage, and enhance Kubernetes clusters tailored for production workloads.

• Deploy and oversee large-scale distributed data platforms, including those based on Hadoop/EMR infrastructure.

• Design and control distributed object storage solutions, such as MinIO or S3-compatible storage options.

• Deploy, set up, and optimize distributed caching solutions like Redis and Memcached.

• Implement enterprise-level observability tools utilizing OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, and Loki.

• Automate CI/CD pipelines to enhance deployment reliability across various environments.

• Ensure the platform's scalability, availability, resilience, and operational excellence.

• Collaborate with development, DevOps, infrastructure, and security teams to deliver highly available platform services.

• Diagnose and resolve production infrastructure challenges while conducting performance tuning across Kubernetes clusters and their underlying infrastructure.

• Contribute to capacity planning, scalability forecasting, and optimization of infrastructure.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Infrastructure Engineering.

• Practical experience in designing and managing enterprise platform infrastructure.

• Significant production experience in both hybrid cloud and on-premises environments.

• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code with Terraform.

• Expertise in Infrastructure Automation, Kubernetes, and Platform Engineering.

• Advanced skills in Kubernetes administration.

• Experience in cluster lifecycle management.

• Proficient in production Kubernetes operations.

• Knowledge of container orchestration with GitOps and CI/CD.

• Familiarity with ArgoCD and GitHub Actions.

• Experience with Big Data Infrastructure, particularly Hadoop and EMR.

• Knowledge of On-Prem Distributed Data Platforms.

• Experience with Distributed Storage systems like MinIO and S3-compatible solutions.

• Knowledge of Distributed Cache technologies such as Redis and Memcached.

• Familiarity with observability tools like OpenTelemetry (OTel), Prometheus, Grafana, and Loki.

• Understanding of metrics, logging, and monitoring.
