This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada, +2 more countries.
• Assist and empower internal business units by providing shared engineering services and functionalities.
• Develop tools and processes tailored for internal teams.
• Cultivate relationships with stakeholders and manage projects from inception to completion.
• Collaborate with customer-facing internal teams to enhance their missions and streamline their daily operations.
• Partner with product engineering to gather data for informed business decisions.
• Enhance observability through metrics, alerting, logging, and telemetry integration.
• Identify opportunities and implement improvements in Continuous Deployment.
• Utilize infrastructure as code to implement changes within cloud environments.
• Work alongside engineering teams to drive cross-functional infrastructure enhancements.
• Automate the upgrade process for managed services and virtual machines.
• Design, develop, test, and document essential software components.
• Integrate observability into operational services, participate in incident response, and manage customer support escalations.
• Assess and enhance the efficiency, scalability, and stability of system resources.
• Proficiency in CI/CD, secrets management, infrastructure as code, and observability.
• Experience with distributed systems.
• Familiarity with operating managed services in a cloud environment, preferably AWS.
• Experience with Kubernetes in a production setting is a significant advantage.
• Understanding of networking concepts, including IP addressing and routing.
• Knowledge of Go programming is advantageous.
• Capability to provide and receive constructive feedback while working autonomously.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
