Infrastructure Analyst – VMware, Red Hat Linux

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Install, configure, upgrade, administer, and provide support for VMware vSphere 7 or newer environments, which include vCenter, vSphere Clusters, DRS, High Availability, and vMotion.

• Install, configure, upgrade, and manage Red Hat Linux operating systems.

• Oversee inventory, configuration, and automation utilizing Satellite, Puppet, Ansible, Bash, Git, and PowerCLI.

• Administer the virtualization hardware architecture, which involves the configuration and updating of BIOS, firmware, and server management platforms.

• Conduct performance analysis and tuning of environments.

• Diagnose and resolve intricate incidents and issues associated with operating systems and virtualization platforms.

• Provide support for large-scale, high-availability environments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Technology or a related higher education field, along with a postgraduate qualification in IT.

• ITIL Foundation v3 certification or a higher level, or equivalent documented training.

• Proven experience in administering and supporting VMware virtualization infrastructure within a large enterprise and high-availability setting.

• Proven experience in administering and supporting Linux operating systems in a large enterprise and high-availability context.

• Familiarity with VMware vSphere 7 or newer, vCenter, Clusters, DRS, High Availability, and vMotion.

• Proficiency with Red Hat Linux.

• Experience with Puppet, Satellite, and Ansible.

• Proficiency with Git, Bash, and PowerCLI.

• Experience with VMware Aria Operations and Log Insight.

• Technical proficiency in English sufficient to comprehend documentation and provide basic written communication in support tickets with vendors.

• Must possess at least one of the following certifications, or a higher-level certification: VCP-DCV – VMware Certified Professional – Data Center Virtualization; RHCSA – Red Hat Certified System Administrator.

• Knowledge of hybrid cloud environments and the integration of on-premises data centers with public cloud providers is preferred and considered an additional advantage.
