This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hungary.
• Establish and execute the data security framework for the enterprise data lakehouse, incorporating RBAC, ABAC, and column/row-level security.
• Direct compliance initiatives for relevant regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, SOC 2, and PCI-DSS.
• Perform data risk assessments and threat modeling for platform elements and data pipelines.
• Collaborate with platform teams to integrate security measures into CI/CD and data workflows.
• Oversee vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and audit responses for the lakehouse environment.
• Supervise encryption standards for data stored both at rest and in transit across cloud and on-premises storage solutions.
• Create and uphold data classification policies while enforcing tagging standards.
• Address security incidents, conduct root cause analyses, and lead remediation efforts.
• Maintain compliance documentation, evidence collection, and audit artifacts.
• Educate engineering and operations teams on security policies and best practices for secure data handling.
• Develop a talent pipeline for anticipated future hiring needs and engage in the recruitment process.
• Over 8 years of experience in information security.
• More than 3 years of experience in data or cloud platform security.
• Extensive knowledge of AWS IAM/KMS, Azure Purview/Defender, and GCP Security Command Center.
• Practical experience with Unity Catalog (Databricks), Snowflake RBAC, or similar lakehouse security layers.
• Demonstrated success in managing SOC 2, GDPR, and HIPAA regulatory compliance programs.
• Strong grasp of NIST, CIS, and ISO 27001 security frameworks.
• Familiarity with SIEM tools, DLP solutions, and security monitoring platforms.
• Exceptional communication skills to convey security risks to executive and business stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Must be currently residing in Hungary.
