Industry Solutions Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +19 more states.

📋 Description

• Act as the principal technical authority on Manufacturing use cases, focusing on OT/ICS security, production line availability, supply chain transparency, quality and safety incident management, and the convergence of IT/OT.

• Create and present customized demonstrations, proofs of value, and reference architectures tailored for manufacturing settings.

• Align Splunk’s platform with SCADA, PLC, MES, and industrial IoT data sources.

• Propel AI adoption and internal tooling projects related to order processing, invoicing, sourcing, fraud detection, product ordering, and warehousing.

• Design and showcase SAP integrations, including SAP S/4HANA, SAP Integration Suite, and SAP BTP.

• Integrate plant-floor operations with back-office systems.

• Serve as the representative voice of the Manufacturing vertical to product management.

• Shape the product roadmap by considering customer, safety, and regulatory trends.

• Utilize Agentic AI, LLMs, and RAG for predictive maintenance and enhancing supply chain resilience.

• Collaborate with account teams, industry sales leaders, customers, core Solutions Engineering, go-to-market leadership, and product teams.

• Convert manufacturing-specific operational and security needs into unique technical solutions and competitive strategies.

• Report to the Industry Solutions Engineering organization as a high-profile individual contributor.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in a pre-sales, solutions engineering, or technical consulting capacity.

• Extensive experience supporting manufacturing or industrial clients.

• Proficiency in OT/ICS environments, encompassing SCADA, PLCs, and MES.

• Understanding of IT/OT convergence security and monitoring challenges.

• Experience with security operations, including SIEM/SOAR, observability, or industrial monitoring platforms.

• Strong foundation in data modeling and pipelines.

• Experience integrating enterprise systems, especially within SAP ecosystems like SAP S/4HANA, SAP Integration Suite, or SAP BTP.

• Preferred: experience within a manufacturing firm, industrial OEM, or OT security provider.

• Preferred: knowledge of supply chain risk, product lifecycle, and industrial safety protocols.

• Preferred: adeptness in presentation and whiteboarding for both technical and executive audiences.

• Preferred: relevant certifications such as GICSP, CISSP, Splunk Core Certified Power User, or Splunk Core Certified Architect.

• Preferred: familiarity with IEC 62443 and NIST 800-82 standards.

• Preferred: experience with OT asset discovery and network monitoring tools.

• Preferred: exposure to Industrial IoT technologies.

• Preferred: experience utilizing Agentic AI, LLMs, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).

• Preferred: experience in Forward Deployed Engineering and change management.
