This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create process models and carry out advanced data analysis.
• Lead evaluations of chemical, physical, and biological processes, including alternative analyses, lifecycle cost analyses, and process optimizations.
• Diagnose issues in existing facilities and devise solutions for process-related challenges.
• Follow the Quality Management Plan and oversee project decisions, interim work, and deliverables.
• Supervise and mentor junior staff in process design and definition, covering mass and energy balances, process system requirements, equipment specifications, and preliminary design concepts.
• Engage in technical innovation initiatives and adopt new technologies and processes.
• Direct experiments and assess technologies for potential implementation.
• Manage physical, chemical, and biological testing, analysis, and data reporting.
• Provide process-related innovative solutions.
• Contribute technical process-related content to pursuits, proposals, and presentations.
• Participate in process-related risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
• Assist in regional conference presentations and publications.
• Support ongoing education and training development, including updates on current technical advancements.
• Guide junior staff on development priorities and projects.
• Aid subject matter experts and practice leaders in maintaining precise, up-to-date, and comprehensive BC Standards.
• Undertake additional tasks as evolving needs arise.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in process engineering or a similar field.
• A Bachelor's degree in environmental, civil, chemical, mechanical, or biological engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Professional Engineer licensure is mandatory.
• Typically certified in the SMS Framework and advancing through SMS competencies.
• Preferred 5+ years of experience in industrial water.
• Skilled in process modeling and data analysis.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Capable of conducting physical, chemical, and biological process performance evaluations with high-level oversight.
• Proficient in communicating technical information effectively to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to work in a diverse team environment and manage multiple competing priorities.
• Highly organized, able to coordinate various team members and subconsultants.
• Self-motivated and results-driven; capable of working under tight deadlines.
• Highly adept in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug test.
