This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas.
• Design and enhance comprehensive manufacturing and operational processes to improve efficiency, quality, and scalability.
• Conduct advanced time studies, line balancing, capacity modeling, throughput optimization, and simulation-based flow analysis.
• Create standard work procedures, labor models, and ergonomic solutions tailored for intricate manufacturing environments.
• Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, and Theory of Constraints methodologies to pinpoint and eliminate operational waste.
• Develop cost models, perform make-vs-buy analyses, and provide ROI justifications for capital and process investments.
• Influence product design through Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA), tolerance analysis, error-proofing, and assembly feasibility assessments.
• Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) industrialization initiatives, including production layouts, material flow, and ramp-up strategies.
• Propel continuous improvement through Kaizen events, KPI development, and cross-functional leadership.
• Advocate for safety and ergonomic compliance in both process and layout designs.
• Undertake other related tasks as necessary and assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 3-5+ years of experience in Industrial or Operations Engineering.
• Capability to work remotely with up to 25% travel to Excellerate facilities.
• Availability to work between 7 am and 5 pm, Monday through Friday.
• Flexibility to work a varied schedule.
• Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, and Theory of Constraints principles.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and relevant ISO standards.
