Industrial Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas.

📋 Description

• Enhance intricate manufacturing and operational systems through sophisticated analysis, design-for-manufacturing principles, and ongoing improvement methodologies.

• Spearhead strategic initiatives and oversee cross-functional projects.

• Implement advanced tools to boost productivity, quality, cost efficiency, safety, and scalability.

• Design and refine comprehensive manufacturing and operational processes.

• Conduct time studies, line balancing, capacity modeling, throughput optimization, and simulation-based flow analysis.

• Develop standard work procedures, labor models, and ergonomic solutions.

• Identify and eradicate operational waste.

• Create cost models, conduct make-vs-buy analyses, and provide ROI justifications.

• Influence product design through DFMA, tolerance analysis, error-proofing, and assembly feasibility studies.

• Lead NPI industrialization efforts, focusing on production layouts, material flow, and ramp-up strategies.

• Foster continuous improvement through Kaizen events, KPI development, and cross-functional leadership.

• Advocate for safety and ergonomic compliance in process and layout designs.

• Perform other related duties as assigned and required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.

• 3-5+ years of experience in Industrial or Operations Engineering.

• Willingness to travel to Excellerate facilities up to 25% of the time.

• Availability to work between 7 am and 5 pm, Monday through Friday.

• Flexibility to work a varied schedule.

• Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, and Theory of Constraints methodologies.

• Understanding of OSHA regulations and applicable ISO standards.
