This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
β’ Identify and cultivate new business opportunities within the Canadian non-automotive plastic injection molding sectors.
β’ Focus on customers in the medical, healthcare, consumer products, packaging, industrial manufacturing, electronics, appliances, construction, recreational products, and other plastics-based industries.
β’ Build relationships with manufacturers, product companies, contract manufacturers, design firms, engineering teams, purchasing departments, and other potential clients.
β’ Utilize existing industry connections while actively creating new customer contacts.
β’ Promote SyBridge Technologies' services including mold design, mold manufacturing, prototyping, engineering, injection molding, production manufacturing, and related offerings.
β’ Identify opportunities for new product launches, tooling, reshoring initiatives, supplier transitions, capacity limitations, and other customer needs.
β’ Generate qualified leads and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective opportunities.
β’ Comprehend customer requirements regarding part geometry, materials, volumes, tooling, timing, quality, regulatory standards, and commercial expectations.
β’ Collaborate with internal estimating, engineering, operations, and commercial teams to assess opportunities.
β’ Assist in the preparation and presentation of proposals, quotations, technical solutions, and customer presentations.
β’ Engage in commercial negotiations concerning pricing, tooling investments, manufacturing scope, timing, volumes, and contractual obligations.
β’ Provide market insights on customer needs, competitor activities, industry trends, emerging markets, and commercial prospects.
β’ Attend customer meetings, industry events, trade shows, networking functions, and conferences as appropriate.
β’ Maintain accurate records of sales activities and pipeline reporting.
β’ Independently oversee customer development strategies, sales activities, scheduling, and prospecting methods in line with agreed commercial objectives and contractual obligations.
β’ A minimum of five (5) years of experience in sales, business development, account management, or commercial roles within plastic injection molding, tooling, contract manufacturing, plastics, or a related manufacturing field.
β’ Established customer relationships in one or more non-automotive manufacturing markets are highly desirable.
β’ Strong comprehension of plastic injection molding, mold tooling, product development, manufacturing processes, and customer sourcing needs.
β’ Proven ability to independently generate leads and establish new customer accounts.
β’ Experience in selling tooling, injection molding production, manufacturing services, engineered products, or other relevant technical solutions is preferred.
β’ In-depth knowledge of RFQ, estimating, quoting, and commercial negotiation processes.
β’ Ability to grasp technical manufacturing requirements and communicate effectively with engineering and manufacturing professionals.
β’ Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
β’ Strong commercial acumen and the capacity to identify profitable, sustainable opportunities.
β’ Capability to independently manage customer relationships, travel, scheduling, and sales activities.
β’ Willingness to travel throughout Canada and internationally as necessary.
β’ Existing relationships in medical, consumer, industrial, packaging, electronics, or other high-value plastics markets will be considered a significant asset.
β’ Responsible for managing necessary business registrations, insurance, tax obligations, and other requirements associated with operating as an independent contractor.
