Independent Mental Health Therapist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nevada.

📋 Description

• Deliver remote counseling and therapeutic treatment via telemedicine to patients associated with Community Health Center partners across Nevada.

• Employ evidence-based practices in both individual and group therapy formats for patient care.

• Actively involve patients in the development and execution of their treatment plans.

• Review and endorse patient psychosocial assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, and consents as necessary.

• Keep accurate clinic records and document services and patient interactions in adherence to clinical, contractual, regulatory, and legal standards.

• Provide crisis intervention services to individuals and families according to established safety plans.

• Engage in regular case planning with a multidisciplinary team.

• Participate in both individual and group supervision sessions.

• Complete ongoing education, in-services, training, post-testing, skill observations, and competency evaluations.

• Offer case management services to facilitate recovery and reintegration into the community.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Licensed Therapist or Counselor (LPC, LCSW, LMFT).

• Possess an active, unrestricted mental health license in both the state of primary residence and the state where medical services are rendered.

• Clinician must maintain an active license in their state of primary residence and be either active or willing to obtain a Nevada License.

• Comfortable operating within a remote work environment.

• Maintain a patient-first approach in all interactions.

• Knowledge of evidence-based therapy practices, including CBT, DBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, Psychoeducation, Trauma Therapy, Addiction Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Bereavement/Grief Counseling.

• Ability to remain seated for extended periods during work hours.

• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for operating a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment.

• Adequate vision for reviewing computer screens and documents.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for virtual meetings and correspondence.

• Sufficient hearing ability for participating in phone calls or virtual meetings.

• Access to a quiet, dedicated workspace with reliable internet connectivity.

• Background check and drug screening required as a condition of employment.
