Bilingual Independent Mental Health Therapist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Offer remote counseling and therapeutic services through telemedicine to patients associated with Community Health Center partners.

• Provide evidence-based individual and group therapy, including modalities such as CBT, DBT, solution-focused therapy, psychoeducation, trauma therapy, addiction therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and bereavement/grief counseling.

• Actively involve patients in their treatment plans.

• Review and authorize clinical psychosocial assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, and consents.

• Keep clinic records updated and document services in accordance with clinical, contractual, regulatory, and legal standards.

• Execute crisis intervention for individuals and families based on established safety plans.

• Collaborate in case planning with the multidisciplinary team to determine suitable patient disposition.

• Engage in both individual and group supervision.

• Complete ongoing education, participate in in-services and training, and demonstrate proficiency through assessments.

• Provide case management services to facilitate recovery and community reintegration.

• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bilingual Licensed Independent Therapist (LCSW, LPCC, LMFT).

• Possess an active, unrestricted mental health license in both the state of primary residence and California.

• Comfortable working in a remote setting.

• Patient-centered approach to care.

• Trained and/or certified in evidence-based trauma modalities such as TF-CBT, EMDR, Brain Spotting, Somatic-Based Approaches, Narrative Therapy, Psychodynamic Attachment-Based Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Polyvagal Theory, or Family Systems (IFS).

• Ability to remain seated for extended periods during working hours.

• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for operating a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment.

• Adequate vision for reading computer screens and documents.

• Clear verbal and written communication skills for virtual meetings and correspondence.

• Sufficient hearing ability to participate in phone calls or virtual meetings.

• Access to a quiet, dedicated workspace with reliable internet connectivity.

• Successful completion of comprehensive background checks and drug screenings as a prerequisite for employment.
