Bilingual Independent Mental Health Therapist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa.

📋 Description

• Provide remote counseling and therapy services through telemedicine to patients across Iowa.

• Utilize evidence-based methods such as CBT, DBT, solution-focused therapy, psychoeducation, trauma therapy, addiction therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and bereavement/grief counseling.

• Apply treatment techniques in both individual and group therapy contexts.

• Involve patients in the development of their treatment plans.

• Review and authorize patient psychosocial assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, and consent forms.

• Keep clinic records and document all services and patient activities in alignment with clinical, contractual, regulatory, and legal standards.

• Conduct crisis interventions for individuals and families based on established safety plans.

• Engage in case planning alongside the multidisciplinary team.

• Take part in both individual and group supervision sessions.

• Complete ongoing education, in-services, and training to enhance and maintain professional competency.

• Offer case management services aimed at fostering recovery and reintegration into the community.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bilingual Licensed Mental Health Therapist (LCSW, LMFT, LPC).

• Active and unrestricted mental health license in the state of primary residence and in the state where services are delivered.

• Clinician must either hold an active Iowa license or be willing to obtain one.

• Comfortable with working remotely.

• Willingness to primarily serve pediatric patients.

• Patient-centered approach.

• Ability to remain seated for extended periods during work hours.

• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for operating a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment.

• Adequate vision for reading computer screens and documents.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills for virtual meetings and correspondence.

• Sufficient hearing ability for participating in phone calls or virtual meetings.

• Access to a quiet, dedicated workspace with dependable internet connectivity.
