This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Establish and expand an independent financial services advisory practice under the Co-operators brand.
• Cultivate long-lasting relationships with community members to assist them in achieving financial security.
• Enhance a client portfolio through prospecting, networking, referrals, and engaging with the community.
• Provide customized insurance and wealth solutions that align with client objectives.
• Develop a trusted professional presence within the community.
• Operate autonomously while adhering to Co-operators' values, brand standards, and a client-first philosophy.
• Exclusively distribute Co-operators products under the independent contractor agreement.
• Oversee business activities, client relationships, portfolio growth, sales pipeline, time management, and priorities.
• Possess a valid Life Insurance License (LLQP or equivalent) and/or Mutual Funds License (e.g., IFC, CIFC), or be willing to obtain them.
• Fulfill ongoing licensing and continuing education obligations.
• Background in financial services, insurance, banking, or other advisory sales environments.
• Experience in managing your own business.
• Knowledge in wealth management, B2B sales, account management, or business development.
• Proficiency in client-facing advisory or relationship-management roles.
• Proven ability to forge trusted relationships and translate them into sustainable business growth.
• Strong sales and business development orientation.
• Comfortable with prospecting, networking, and creating opportunities.
• Excellent communication skills, clear and confident.
• Strong organizational skills and disciplined follow-through.
• Client-centric, advice-driven approach.
• Resilient, accountable, and self-motivated.
• Must complete a comprehensive background check.
• Required to undergo background, credit, and eligibility checks to Co-operators’ satisfaction.
