Implementation Specialist – Business Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Define and document the business requirements of customers.

• Interpret and implement requirements within the project's scope.

• Analyze client needs and convert them into functional specifications.

• Identify discrepancies between client requirements and standard system capabilities.

• Facilitate discovery sessions to document requirements, use cases, and challenges.

• Configure workflows, business rules, and system settings accordingly.

• Collaborate with Data Conversion Specialists on the transition of legacy data.

• Train end-users through both remote and in-person sessions.

• Develop proficiency in CityView functionality and recognize opportunities for enhancements.

• Provide customer service and support throughout the entire implementation lifecycle.

• Work alongside Project Managers, Data Conversion Specialists, Quality Assurance, Technical Support Analysts, and Implementation Specialists.

• Receive project assignments and priorities from the Project Manager.

• Collect and validate client data requirements.

• Configure, test, and validate software solutions.

• Deliver solutions to clients and address client feedback.

• Provide updates on project status and maintain internal tracking systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a dynamic environment.

• Experience and/or knowledge of local government business processes.

• Proven experience in identifying, defining, analyzing, and documenting client workflows, data, systems, and related activities.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a background in business analysis.

• Understanding of licensing, permitting, or related government business processes (or equivalent experience).

• Post-secondary education in a technology-related field or equivalent work experience.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in a highly professional, customer-facing setting.

• Willingness to travel up to 15% within Canada and the US.

• Over 5 years of experience with software configuration, business process analysis, and/or end-user training preferred.

• Experience with permitting, licensing, land management, or related governmental processes.

• Understanding of database applications (both installed and web-based).

• Familiarity with MS SQL Reporting Services (or equivalent).
