IAM Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +31 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee the daily operations of the Identity Governance and Administration solution.

• Implement automation, scripting, configuration-as-code, and administration to enhance platform capabilities.

• Collaborate with application owners, business analysts, and IAM Architects to onboard applications.

• Set up IAM tools for new applications.

• Create roles aligned with RBAC, ABAC, and PBA authorization models.

• Design entitlement assignment workflows and access request procedures.

• Install new features on IAM platforms and tools according to the IAM roadmap.

• Act as a subject matter expert for IAM technologies and processes on identity-related projects.

• Work with DBAs, application administrators, developers, testers, and others to resolve issues, tackle design challenges, and enhance performance.

• Offer guidance on IAM capabilities, configuration, debugging, deployment, and platform updates.

• Generate system configuration and process design documentation, knowledge base articles, troubleshooting guides, operating procedures, and application integration documentation.

• Provide tier 3/escalation support, including incident response, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem resolution.

• Engage in cross-training with IAM team members and solution administrators.

• Support reporting and metrics initiatives.

• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of practical IAM experience.

• Demonstrated software engineering experience in large-scale, complex IT environments.

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cyber Security, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.

• SailPoint Certified Identity Cloud Engineer.

• Proficiency in relational databases and SQL.

• Experience in implementing and managing SailPoint Identity Security Cloud, SailPoint NERM/SecZetta, Azure Federation Services, or other leading IAM platforms and tools.

• Hands-on experience configuring and administering SailPoint Identity Security Cloud (ISC), operating independently with minimal oversight.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID, including configuring SSO integrations and provisioning via SCIM.

• Expertise in developing troubleshooting processes, methodologies, and standards for IAM.

• Understanding of information security, technology, and identity and access management fundamentals.

• Strong communication and technical writing skills.

• Ability to convey technical requirements and security controls to partners.

• Excellent critical thinking skills and attention to detail.

• Must reside in and work from one of the approved states.

• Reliable internet connection and a dedicated, properly equipped workspace free from distractions.
