Hydro Commercial Risk Manager – EPC Projects

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee the risk profile of all commercial agreements within the GE Vernova Hydropower Business

• Ensure that tenders are underwritten in line with GE Vernova standards and adhere to GE Vernova and GE Vernova Hydro risk management policies and processes

• Collaborate with commercial leaders and functional specialists across engineering, sourcing, site installation, legal, finance, and scheduling to assess and mitigate tender risks

• Assess the risk-reward equilibrium for each tender, encompassing terms and conditions, technical specifications, financing, and timelines

• Administer the Hydropower risk process and guarantee adherence to GE Vernova policies and Hydropower underwriting strategies

• Direct the Risk Review gates of the ITO process (R2, HRB, R3)

• Utilize feedback from project execution and best practices from other businesses to enhance risk analysis during the tender stage

• Report to the Hydro Global Commercial and Strategy Leader

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with over 10 years of relevant experience

• Experience in managing intricate EPC projects and/or in risk management

• High degree of autonomy in coordinating risk activities alongside another risk manager

• Strong critical thinking abilities, with a capacity to analyze and summarize complex and varied issues

• Exceptional oral and written communication skills, including the capability to engage effectively at the executive level

• Demonstrated interpersonal and leadership skills in a global, multicultural setting

• A background in engineering, contract management, finance, or project management is considered a significant advantage
