This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee governance for the hematology portfolio within the Hematology Development Review Committee and associated senior forums.
• Develop agendas, clarify decision-making objectives, create executive-ready materials, and ensure discussions are focused on decision-making.
• Manage and enhance the operating model of the Heme DRC, which includes topic intake, agenda oversight, pre-read quality assurance, meeting facilitation, decision documentation, offline endorsements, minute-taking, action-item tracking, and progress reporting.
• Create processes for preparing DRC and executive governance, including communication, escalation, and documentation.
• Collaborate with R&D and Commercial executive leaders to articulate strategic decisions regarding the hematology portfolio.
• Direct the hematology section of the annual portfolio strategy review and prioritization process.
• Utilize external benchmarks, competitor insights, and industry contexts to evaluate portfolio differentiation, productivity, value, and investment priorities.
• Facilitate alignment among senior stakeholders across Project Teams, Development and Franchise leadership, Commercial, Finance, Forecasting, Competitive Intelligence, Corporate Communications, Investor Relations, and Governance.
• Assist in providing updates at the Board level, for executives, and externally by synthesizing program advancements, portfolio performance, emerging risks, strategic decision needs, and portfolio narratives.
• Act as a reliable strategic advisor to portfolio and governance leadership.
• Collaborate with program management teams involved in hematology oncology drug development and product lifecycle management.
• Work with cross-functional partners to align scientific opportunities, operational feasibility, commercial potential, and overall portfolio value.
• Spearhead process-improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing governance efficiency, decision quality, transparency, and organizational follow-through.
• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific, business, or related discipline.
• Over 12 years of experience in drug development, portfolio strategy, program management, commercial strategy, consulting, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, or related life sciences positions.
• Experience in hematology and oncology is highly preferred.
• At least 5 years in leadership positions within a multicultural, international, and matrixed portfolio environment.
• Strong comprehension of drug development, governance decision-making processes, portfolio prioritization, lifecycle planning, and cross-functional operational models.
• Proven ability to influence, advise, and align senior R&D and Commercial leaders on complex, ambiguous, and high-impact portfolio decisions.
• Exceptional executive communication skills, including the ability to translate intricate scientific, clinical, commercial, and financial information into concise and decision-ready narratives.
• Capability to build trust, manage senior stakeholders, negotiate alignment, resolve conflicts, and drive accountability without direct authority.
• Experience in supporting senior governance forums, development review committees, stage-gate processes, or enterprise portfolio prioritization in a biotechnology or pharmaceutical setting.
• Familiarity with oncology-specific value drivers, such as lifecycle strategy, competitive differentiation, accelerated development pathways, biomarker-defined populations, and combination or platform strategies.
• Strong process-management discipline, attention to governance logistics, and dedication to producing high-quality documentation, decision tracking, and follow-through.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
