Hydro Commercial Risk Manager – EPC Projects

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee the risk profile of all commercial agreements within GE Vernova’s Hydropower division.

• Ensure that tenders are evaluated in line with GE Vernova standards.

• Guarantee adherence to GE Vernova and GE Vernova Hydro risk management protocols and policies.

• Work alongside commercial leaders and functional experts to identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to each tender.

• Stay closely connected to project execution to collect lessons learned and enhance risk analyses during the bidding process.

• Assess the risk-reward balance of each tender.

• Manage the Hydropower risk process and ensure compliance with GE Vernova policies and Hydropower underwriting strategies.

• Lead the Risk Review gates of the ITO process (R2, HRB, R3).

• Utilize feedback from project execution and best practices to uphold high risk-control standards during the tender phase.

• Report directly to the Hydro Global Commercial and Strategy Leader.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with over 10 years of experience.

• Proven experience managing complex EPC projects and/or in risk management.

• High degree of autonomy in organizing risk activities in collaboration with another Risk Manager.

• Strong critical thinking abilities, capable of analyzing and synthesizing complex and varied issues.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at the executive level.

• Demonstrated interpersonal and leadership skills in a global, multicultural environment.

• A background in engineering, contract management, finance, or project management is highly advantageous.
